Northeast Baptist Church will be leading the Ponca City area Life Chain event on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 1:50 pm to 3 pm.

The Life Chain is an anti-abortion/ pro-life organization that started in 1987 that organizes congregations on the first Sunday in October to stand on designated sidewalks to pray and rally for an hour.

Life Chain 2022 participants will meet on N. 14th Street in the west parking area of Pioneer Shopping Center at 1:50 pm for prayer prior to the event. Professional posters will be provided for participants to hold or they may bring their own poster. Participants in this event include several Kay County area churches including St. Francis Catholic Church in Newkirk, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Community Church, Oak Grove Baptist Church, Agape Church of Christ, and other churches.

Participants are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs if needed as they sit holding a poster.
