NOC NURSING APPLICATION DEADLINE MARCH 1 The Northern Oklahoma College Nursing Program is currently applications for Fall 2023.

The deadline for applications is March 1.

Applicants must meet minimum program requirements for admission and be accepted to Northern Oklahoma College prior to acceptance in the Nursing Program. Applicants are selected based on qualifications and space availability.

NOC has nursing programs at Tonkawa, Enid, and Stillwater locations. Apply by March 1 for admission on all three campuses for Fall 2023.

NOC PROCESS TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED Persons interested in the Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa Process Technology Program have until March 15, 2023 to apply for the Fall 2023 semester.

Only students who fill out the on-line application will be considered. Program manager Frankie Wood-Black said the program is limited to 24 students.

Wood-Black added the program is available to anyone interested in Process Technology.

The review process begins in late March, applicants will be notified of the review process. The application may be found at http://www.noc.edu/ ptechapplication .

THS ALUMNI SEEK NOMINATIONS FOR 2023 DISTINGUISHED ALUM The Tonkawa Alumni Association is requesting nominations for the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award. The recipient(s) will be honored during Homecoming weekend.

The award has been given since 2006 to outstanding THS graduates whose personal lives, professional achievements and contribution to society exemplify the standards of excellence promoted through their education at Tonkawa High School.

Nominations will be accepted until May 1, 2023. Forms can be printed from the Alumni Website at www.tonkawaalumni. com, picked up from the high school office, or completed digitally at the website.

SUE SEMLER WILL PRESENT HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR AT PIONEER AREA QUILTERS GUILD

Pioneer Area Quilters Guild will meet on Monday, March 6 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1904 N. Pecan in Ponca City. The meeting schedule is as follows: 10:00 social hour, 10:30 am stitch and assist, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm business meeting including show and share, 12:00 pm program. Sue Semler will be the speaker with a lecture and trunk show titled Halloween Spooktacular. Sue is retired from St. Francis Hospital. Counted cross stitch for hobby and competition was her specialty for many years until she found her love for quilting. 1920’s and ’30’s fabric, Civil War reproduction fabric, and Halloween patterns and prints are her favorite media.

Sue lives Halloween all year and hopes participants at her presentation will not only have a great time but take away new ideas for their own projects.

The hospitality committee will provide water and tea. Attendees should bring their own covered drink cup and may bring their own food.
