COVID-19 RENT/MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE & UTILITY ASSISTANCE STILL AVAILABLE!

Have you applied before but were unable to get assistance? Now is the time to take advantage of the new intake procedure(s) and re-apply before the funds run out. Last year, the City of Ponca City, in partnership with NERA (New Emergency Resource Agency), was approved for the Rent and Mortgage Assistance and Utility Assistance grant program made available by the CDBG CARES ACT through the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

The purpose of the CDBG CARES ACT Rent/Mortgage Assistance and Utility Assistance Programs are to provide assistance to income eligible residents who reside within the city limits of Ponca City and are delinquent on their utilities, rent, and/or mortgage accounts. All potential applicants must have incomes at or below HUD’s Income Guidelines for Kay County, Oklahoma, to be eligible for this program.

Since the Rent and Mortgage Assistance and Utility Assistance grants were made available to the public, it was determined that in order to help as many people as possible, the intake procedure(s) needed to be adapted to better fit the needs of the community.

Persons may apply for the Rent/Mortgage Assistance and/or Utility Assistance Program(s) by completing application forms available at NERA in person at their offices located at 112 South 1st Street, Ponca City, Oklahoma. An online application will be available soon.

Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. Please note that these grant funds are expended on a firstcome first serve basis until the grant has been depleted. Questions? Call NERA at 580-765-5372
