Early voting begins Thursday March 30, 2023 for voters in Kay County.

The following Municipalities will have an election for City Commissioners : City of Ponca City ,City of Newkirk, City of Tonkawa, Kaw City and Braman .

There will also be School Board members elected for the following school districts : Ponca City, Newkirk, Kildare and Tonkawa, and a Commissioner will also be elected for County Commissioner District #3.

Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

Kay County Election Board Secretary, Carol Leaming, said early voting is open to all voters.

“You do not need to provide an excuse to voter early. Oklahoma allows early voting for all election conducted through the State Election Board from school board and municipal elections to state and federal elections. This is a great option for those who will be out of town on Election Day or who want to avoid long lines,” Leaming said.

Early voting is available Thursday March 2, 2023 and Friday March 3, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the County Election Board located at 219 S. Main Street in the Kay County Administration Building in Newkirk. Leaming reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.
