The Christmas Tree Recycling area at the Recycling Center, which is located across the street from the drop-off Recycling Center located on west Prospect Avenue, will be closing on January 20. This area has been opened since December 23rd to give residents a way to discard their Christmas trees.

Please remember to remove all lights and ornaments from the Christmas trees before bringing them to the Christmas Tree Recycling area.

After the Christmas trees are dropped off, they will be turned into mulch for gardening and landscape usage. This mulch will be available to the public for free. Those who are interested in this service will need to bring their own shovels and containers to transport the mulch.

This service of free mulch will become available on Jan. 28th, until it is all gone.
