In recognition of National Doctors’ Day, this year, AllianceHealth Ponca City recognized the dedication of its medical staff by donating funds to a local organization in their honor.

Physicians voted on the non-profit organization to receive the $1,500 donation. The recipient was Peachtree Landing Inc, a great resource in the community that provides temporary emergency shelter for single women and single parents while helping strengthen their capacity to live independently.

The check was presented to Terrie Hill. executive director for Peachtree Landing during the Doctors’ Day celebration luncheon on Tuesday, April 4 at Alliance-Health Ponca City. Terrie expressed her gratitude on behalf of Peachtree Landing and answered questions from the physicians and staff regarding ways to continue their support.

“We are grateful to our doctors on our medical staff for working tirelessly to provide safe and quality care to thousands of patients we see each year,” said Chris Mendoza, chief executive officer at AllianceHealth Ponca City. “We wanted to honor them in a meaningful way through this donation to a non-profit local organization of their choice.”
