This week’s cat of the week is the gorgeous lady you see pictured, Snowy, who has been at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society since Valentines Day. Snowy is a 5 year old girl with beautiful Siamese markings and bright blue eyes. The workers at the humane society feel that the reason that Snowy hasn’t been given the chance she deserves is because of her very introverted characteristics when she first arrived at the shelter. She was very scared and nervous, which turned into some aggressive behaviors. Now, Snowy has improved so much since her intake date. While she still is very shy, she has come such a long way and now loves people and attention. Because of her fears, it would be better if Snowy was placed in a quiet home with people who love her to help her trust again. The handsome 2 year old boy, Mr. Kelly, is this week’s dog of the week. Mr. Kelly is a energetic and sweet boy who is looking for his forever home. The workers at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society aren’t sure exactly what he is mixed with, but they can tell you that he is 100% a good boy. He is on the larger side, weighing in at about 60 pounds, but he is as loving as they come. Mr. Kelly has been tested with children and seems to love them as much as he loves treats or really anyone that gives him attention. Mr. Kelly has been with NOKHS since May 3 and he is ready to make his break from the shelter. He knows basic commands and seems to adapt well to new situations. Mr. Kelly is a very hyper boy, so he needs a family who will play with him and love him for the rest of his days. If you would like more information on these two babies, or any other animal at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society, you can visit their website at www.nokhs.com, call at 580-767-8877, or visit the Humane Society at 900 W Prospect Ave. (Photos by Dailyn Emery)
