This week’s cat of the week is the beautiful girl you see pictured, Catsy Cline, who has been at the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society since April 15. Catsy Cline is a 2 year old domestic shorthair who was found on the streets of Ponca City all alone and pregnant. Now, Catsy Cline’s kittens have left the nest and she is looking for her forever family. Catsy Cline stood out because of her gentle and loving personality. She is not the cat to get super excited and energetic, she simply wants to be loved. Catsy Cline is one of the most affectionate cats I have ever met. Her favorite place to be is curled up on the couch with her person getting some love. Catsy Cline is sweet and gentle and all she wants now is a family and a home to finally call her own. The gorgeous 2 year old girl, Chicken Fry, has made this week’s dog of the week. This sweet and energetic girl is a Labrador Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix, so she is quite a large dog. While her size can be intimidating to some, Chicken Fry doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. Chicken Fry is an incredibly sweet and loving pup who is just looking for a home. Like Catsy Cline, Chicken Fry was found on the streets as a stray and was never claimed. She came to stay at NOKHS on the 26th of April and has since been waiting for a family to come find her and see her potential. Chicken Fry is very playful and loving, but also is just as content to curl up on the couch as she is to play fetch. She loves being outside and it is clear to see that her yard time is her favorite time of the day. With treats, a little patience, and a whole lot of love, Chicken Fry has the potential to be the best addition to any family. If you would like more information on these two ladies, or any other animal at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society, you can visit their website at www.nokhs.com, call at 580-767-8877, or visit the Humane Society at 900 W Prospect Ave. (Photos by Dailyn Emery) NORTHERN OKLAHOMA Humane Society held one of their regular low-cost spay and neuter clinics on Mon., June 5 in attempt to reduce the amount of homeless animals in the future.
