Long Caption

This week’s cat of the week is the beautiful girl you see here, Angelica. Angelica is a female domestic shorthair that is about 5 months old. She has spent the majority of those 5 months in the care of the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society and she is still looking for her forever home. Angelica stood out because of her loving and gentle personality. Angelica seems to be the kind of cat that is very go with the flow. When introduced to new environments she can be slightly nervous, but quickly calms down once she has explored a little. She is young enough that she still has a lot of playful energy, but she can also be relaxed and calm. She is very curious and loves to explore. Right off the bat, Angelica was very affectionate and really just wanted attention. She is the one you will see right up at the front of her kennel trying to get attention from anyone that offers. She is very sweet and loving and would make the perfect cat for anyone looking to add to their family. This gorgeous boy, Dobie, is this week’s dog of the week. Dobie is about one and a half years old and is a Australian Cattle Dog, more commonly known as a Red Heeler, mix. He was picked up by the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society on the first of February and has since spent the last month preparing to find his forever home. Like most Heelers, Dobie has a very high energy. He is very friendly, but has a lot more go than stop. He absolutely loves to play and his favorite thing is his yard time, where he gets to chase the other dogs up and down the fences. He is a big fan of treats, so anything he doesn’t already know should be fairly simple to teach because of his treat drive. Dobie loves people and is currently looking for one that will love him back like he deserves. For any information about these two adorable animals, or any other available pets, you can go to www.nokhs.com, call at 580-767-8877, or visit the Humane Society at 900 W Prospect Ave. (Photos by Dailyn Emery)
