This week’s cat of the week is Tommy. Tommy is a 5 year old Domestic Short hair, that is currently at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society waiting for his forever home. He is new to the shelter and was just surrendered on Feb. 2. When you first meet Tommy, he can be quite shy. When pets are surrendered, they can often get anxious or depressed, especially since they are not only adjusting to being without their family, but also a completely new environment. Whether it is because he is still adjusting to being at the humane society, or this is just his normal personality, Tommy is reserved in the beginning. That being said, he does not take long to come out of his shell. Once he does, you are guaranteed to fall in love with him. Tommy is so incredibly affectionate and loving. He enjoys being pet and loved on, and is also a big fan of treats. These things are the way to Tommy’s heart. Tommy is looking for a second chance family that will love him for the rest of his days.

This week’s dog of the week is Loka, a 2 year old Great Dane mix. Loka is new to the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society and was added into their family on Jan. 25. Loka is an incredibly fitting name for this adorable little girl. While she is very sweet and loving, she is also a little crazy. She can calm down, but when she gets excited she can’t control her zoomies. She doesn’t realize that is quite a big girl and her running at full speed into someones knees, does not have a great end result. She is so loving and sweet and can’t wait to find her forever home. She loves people and is a huge fan of treats, so she is probably very easy to train. Loka is ready for someone to take a chance on her.
