Special program to be featured at Pioneer Woman Museum on July 1

The Pioneer Woman Museum will host a free special presentation on Saturday, July 1 at 11 am. This event will feature a presentation by Karen Smith Hunter about the history of Oklahoma’s first flag, and a history of the Betsy Ross Association.

Free hotdog fundraiser for Veteran’s Landing

Elite Legacy Real Estate Team, along with KW Select have joined forces with several local co-sponsors to provide a free meal to veterans, families, and the community on Saturday, July 1 at Lake Shelter #5 at Lake Ponca from 4 pm to 7 pm. The event will provided 1000 meals consisting of one hotdog, one bag of chips, one cookie and one bottle of water until supplies are gone. The meal is entirely free, but a donations box will be available, as well a fundraiser raffle.

Fly-in breakfast

The Ponca City Aviation Booster Club will hold their monthly fly-in breakfast on Saturday, July 1.

The breakfast is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. It will be open from 7 am to 10:30 am.

The breakfast is sponsored by the Ponca City Aviation Foundation, and the club works to try and get people, both young and old, interested in aviation and the airport. The foundation is an offshoot of a social club, The Ponca City Aviation Boosters Club, it was formed by pilots and airplane owners to pick up the trash on the airport in the 1970s.

The breakfast menu will include: scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice. Soda or bottle water is $1 extra.

The airport is located at 2213 North Waverly Street in Ponca City.
