Hunting Jessica cast and crew ready for series premiere

With post-production underway, the cast and crew of Hunting Jessica, by Raman-Martin Film Productions, are looking forward to the debut of the series.

Newkirk was scouted out by director/producer Lisa Lee Martin in April of 2019 and she fell in love with the location. After meeting up with Historical Society Director Karen Dye, Main Street Director Alyssa Winner and CharRons bar owner Tracee Forbek, Martin started setting up her cast and crew.

“I really wanted to breathe life back into Newkirk and give the community something they could look forward to on Hulu, Roku and Netflix Japan,” said Martin. Filming on Hunting Jes

Filming on Hunting Jessica began in winter of 2019 in Newkirk, Oklahoma and response from the community has been positive, and the red carpet event held on Dec. 19 saw several fans of the production turn out for autographs and photos.

“We’ve had a great response from this local community and appreciate all the love and support,” said Austin Taylor Gerry, who portrays Enoch on the series.

The show was filmed entirely within Newkirk and includes local actors from both Newkirk and Ponca City, as well as the cooperation of local agencies.

“We appreciate the fire department, local police and all community directors like Debbie Leaming,” said Donna Sue Lewis, who plays the character Charli.

Hunting Jessica is a dark fan tasy thriller revolving around Jessica, a vampire slayer, in the rural town of Devil’s Bend, Oklahoma.

The series is expected to air in late February 2021.
