Junior and Delores Gilliland will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on May 21, 2020.

Junior Gilliland and the former Delores Tull were married May 21, 1955, in Pawnee. They made their first home in Pueblo, Colo., followed by Coffeyville, Kan. before moving to Ponca City in 1964. They have lived in their present home for 45 years.

Junior and Delores owned and operated Junior’s Gun and Lock Shop before retiring in 1990. They have been active in the Good Sam’s International RV organization club and Junior served as Good Sam’s state director from 1999-2002. Since retirement, they have enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the country.

Their church home is Central Baptist Church.

The couple’s children include Jeanie Smith and husband Danny, Peggy Stracener and husband Tony, Mike Gilliland and wife Deanna and Mark Gilliland, all of Ponca City. They have eight grandchildren: Jerrod and Casey Smith, Jason Sinnes, Tyler Stracener, Courtney McPherson, Bailey Gilliland, Dominique Le and Daylan Gilliland.

Their 13 great-grandchildren include Halee and Jalee Smith, Stormy Lowe, Hunter Stracener, Jett Sinnes, Hanna, Laken and Sawyer Smith, Karrie Allison and Colt Le, Rylee Gilliland and Tanner and Kace McPherson.

There will be an anniversary celebration at a later time.
