Roy Lambert and the former Doris Richards were married November 19. 1960 at First Baptist Church in Kinder, Louisiana.

The couple made their first home in Iowa, La. Where Roy worked for Shell Oil Company. His oil industry career moved the family from Iowa to Lafayette, La., Slidell, La., New Orleans, La., Ponca City and Fairview, Ok.

Roy opted for early retirement from Phillips Petroleum in 1992 when the couple moved to Ponca City to build their retirement home on their property near Kaw Dam to enjoy the country living.

They are members of Northeast Baptist Church and have been active members since 1992, serving on several committees. They hosted fish fries for their Sunday School class and the youth of their church at Falls Creek for 20 years. They also hosted fish fries for the Senior Citizen Bowling League for several years. Roy was an avid fisherman, played golf, bowled, and loved to relax on the property. Doris enjoys bowling, bridge, bunco, quilting, crafts, and singing in the church choir. They have 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, 4 step grandsons, and 3 great grandchildren.
