Ponca City, OK — Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) offers Driver’s License Testing through a partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety (DPS). Intended to help provide more test locations across Oklahoma, Governor Kevin Stitt signed an executive order allowing CareerTech testing centers to offer the written exam to Oklahoman’s pursuing a driver’s license. “This partnership will greatly benefit our customers and allows this part of the process to be accomplished without having to visit the DPS office,” remarked DPS Commissioner John Scully.

Pioneer Tech will begin to offer the Class D Driver and Motorcycle written exam on April 5th. The exam is only 20 questions and requires your birth certificate. Candidates must be 15 and a half years old to take the Class D exam and 14 years old for the Motorcycle test.

For other specific requirements to obtain a license, refer to the Oklahoma Driver Manual. Registration, for test dates, is now open through the Pioneer Tech website, look for the testing tab under the student menu.
