Monty Ladon Casey was born October 28th, 1962 in Oklahoma City, OK to William and Frances (Burnes) Casey. He grew up in Oklahoma City until the 1970’s when the family moved to Moore, OK. Then later while in high school they moved again to Ponca City, OK around 1980.

He married Rose (Agnew) Casey in 1981. They had a daughter April in 1984 and a son Michael in 1987.

He worked as a mechanic at Auto Safety Center and then he worked for The City of Ponca City in the Solid Waste department, where he retired in 2018.

He divorced from Rose in 2009. He then started a relationship with Chrissy Delibro and gained a step daughter Tylee. He loved her as his own.

He passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 11th, 2024 at OU Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Frances, his sister Patty Ann, his grandson Dominick Sorrell, sister in law Cherrie Casey and sister in law Judy Casey.

Survivors include son Michael Casey, his wife Charity Casey and children Willow, Whysper and Varian of Tonkawa, OK; daughter April Sorrell and husband JJ Sorrell and children Jacob and Brian of Winfield, KS; significant other Chrissy Delibro, stepdaughter Tylee Rivera and her husband JJ Rivera and child; sister Lanell Reed; brother Tommy Casey all from Ponca City; brother Gene Casey of Terra Haut, IN and numerous neices and nephews, friends and family from Denver, CO, Terra Haut, IN, Houston TX, and Ponca City, OK.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor to be announced at a later date.

He loved OU football, Dallas Cowboy football, and NASCAR racing. He was always smiliing and always happy. He will be missed by all. We love you dad — Michael and April.
