Bob Lee Cottrell, resident of Ponca City, OK passed away at his home on March, 17, 2022.

Arrangements are being made at Stittsworth Funeral Home in Enid, OK.

Bob was born August 17, 1948 in Blackwell, OK to Delbert and Norma Cottrell. he graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1967, where he was a member of the orchestra.

After high school, Bob attended welding school and loved being a welder for most of his life. He was last employed at Precision Metal Fabrications, LLC and from there he retired in 2012 after experiencing health issues.

Bob married Janet M. May on May 10, 1968. They had two children, Lori D. Brown of Ponca City, and David Dewayne Cottrell of Garber, OK.

Bob was also a 3rd Degree Mason with the Blackwell, OK Chapter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in law Reiny and Ellen May, and grandson Aaron T. Blackwell.

He is survived by his wife, Janet M. Cottrell, Ponca City. Daughter Lori D. Brown and husband Dale, Ponca City. Son David D. Cottrell and wife Dawn Bowen, Garber. Four grandchildren: Sara Pendland and husband Brandon, Ponca City; Katy Blackwell and husband Daniel Tibbles, Pocna City; Jessica Holman and husband Brian, Garber; and Dayton Cottrell, Garber. Seven great grandchildren. Brothers Jerry May and wife Marilyn, Atlanta, KS, David May and wife COnnie, Arkansas CIty. Sisters, Carolyn Hale and husband Gary, Marcia Shook and husband Stuart, all of Arkansas City, KS.
