Karen Elizabeth Russell Duke of Edmond, OK passed away August 27th, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 59 from heart failure. Karen was born September 21, 1961 in Kansas City, MO to Harold Riddle Russell and Wanda Elizabeth Kelly Russell. Her family lived in Greenwood, MO; Lee’s Summit, MO; and Coffeyville, KS; before eventually settling in Ponca City, OK.

ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION MOST VALUABLE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP The Ponca City Elks Lodge #2002 is announcing the start of the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest. The Most Valuable Student scholarship is available to high school seniors who are United State citizens.

It’s the Bullying, Stupid: The Anti-Israel Lobby Targets Jewish Kids on Campus

With a new academic year underway, Jewish college students across America are in receipt of yet more empirical evidence that the anxiety they are experiencing is not a figment of their imaginations. A poll released last week by the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law found that more than 65% of Jewish college kids have felt unsafe on campus because of verbal, social media or physical attacks. Approximately 50% find it necessary to hide their Jewish identity. Almost 70% either personally experienced some form of anti- Jewish assault in the recent past or were familiar with one.

Ree Drummond’s new cookbook from the publisher William Morrow and Company titled The Pioneer Woman Cooks Super Easy!: 120 Shortcut Recipes for Dinners, Desserts, and More will be released on October 19.
