Nancy Lee Brown, resident of the McCord Community passed away on Wednesday, March 16,2022 at Stillwater Medical Center at the age of 73.

She was born prematurely on February 10,1949 on her brother’s birthday in Bismarck, North Dakota, the daughter of Margaret Mae (Schwartz) Naaden and Burton Tracy Naaden. She graduated high school in Steele North Dakota. She met the love of her life, Joe D. Brown, while the family was custom combining in N.D. On February 22, 1969, Joe and Nancy married in Bismarck, ND. She had two children Michelle L. and Heath T. Over a period, she worked at several types of jobs: hairdresser, fork press operator, Huffy, Secretary for Dean Frye. There she found another job at the College as copier for the instructors for all syllabus, tests, study Guiders for all 3 Campuses. She enjoyed the challenge. She retired from MOC in 2015.

She loved to sing and perform with the Sweet Adeline’s. Then with the Singing Church Women. Until around 2002. She also sang in church as well.

Her hobbies included Quilting classes on Thursday with the ladies of Tonkawa Baptist Church. She was also involved in the Pioneer Area Quilt Guild. She loved to crochet Afghans, potholders, baby blankets, and shoes. She taught her husband and kids and some friends how to crochet as well.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle, brother Stewart (Beth) Naaden, sister, Margaret Oscarson, brother-in-law Niki Mugg, sister-in-law Linda Brown. She leaves behind 2 grandson, Heath and Sean, 1 granddaughter Tasha and 1 great granddaughter. She also has numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her son Heath, Margaret and Burton Naaden, Kenneth and Thelma Brown, her brother Lee Naaden, sister-in-law Linda Mugg, brother-in-law Gary Brown, sister in law Jessie Mugg and brother in law DuWayne Oscarson.

Services will be held Wednesday March 23, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Northeast Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Melton presiding. Arrangements will be under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Pall Bearers will be Chad Humphries, Daniel Brown, Wayne Edwards, Sean Snodgrass, Chad Hall and Anthony Rodrigues.
