Joyce Ann Reutter passed away February 29, 2024, at the age of 74, surrounded by her loving family. Viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., Monday, March, 4, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary service will be held at Trout Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, March 4, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located at 707 E. Ponca Ave., Ponca City, OK, at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, at the Newkirk Cemetery, 3701 E. Dry Road, Newkirk, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Joyce was born August 24, 1949, in Blackwell, OK, where she grew up and went to school, graduating from Blackwell High School in the class 1967. Joyce was very active in the Equestrian Club during her high school years participating in many events and parades. She held the honor of Blackwell Saddle Club Queen in 1966. She attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Joyce married Carl R. Reutter of Blackwell, OK on January 17, 1969. They made Blackwell their home for many years moving to Ponca City, OK in 1979 where they raised their two children.

Joyce worked 33 years retiring from Conoco in Ponca City in 2002. Joyce was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Blackwell and later St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ponca City where she served faithfully for many years. Joyce enjoyed many things; playing cards, golf, fishing, boating, farkle at church, and helping arrange flowers for church. Her memory for names, dates, and places could always be counted on.

Joyce was preceded in death by: her parents, Laurence and Alice Spoon of Blackwell, OK. She is survived by: her loving husband of 55 years, Carl R. Reutter of Ponca City; son, Jeffrey Alan Reutter and wife, Allison, of Coweta, OK; daughter, Cynthia Renee Riggs and husband, Mike, of Ponca City, OK. She is also survived by grandchildren; Eric Riggs, Ciera Riggs, Austin Riggs, and Alec Reutter. Also 4.5 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law; Allen and Valerie of Catoosa, OK; and several nieces and nephews. Casket bearers are Jeff Reutter, Eric Riggs, Alec Reutter, Austin Riggs, Allen Arthurs and Brent Dugan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 8400 Silver Crossing, Oklahoma City, OK, 73132.
