PIEDMONT -- Piedmont scored four runs in the first inning Monday night on its way to an 8-0 victory over the Ponca City summer varsity Wildcats.

Piedmont added three runs in the third and one in the fourth. Ponca City was outhit 10-1.

Hayden LeClair and A. J. Landes worked on the mound for Ponca City. LeClair allowed 10 hits and six earned runs in two and two-thirds innings while Landes permitted no hits and one unearned run in one and one thirds innings.

Isaiah Branstetter had Ponca City’s only hit. The Wildcats had two base runners in the second as Branstetter led off with a single and Jackson Hunt followed by drawing a base on balls. Ponca City also had base runners in the fourth inning when catcher Teegan Hodgson walked and Branstetter reached on an error.
