The Northern Oklahoma College Mavs split a pair of conference softball games against Connors Thursday in Tonkawa.

The Mavs (22-18) won the first game 2-0 and lost the nightcap 12-10. NOC is 11-9 in conference play. Connors (10-22) is 5-13 in league play.

In Game 1, Lynsey Ailey tossed a one-hit shutout and hit a two run home run leading NOC to a 2-1 win over Connors.

The Mavs had four hits, Ailey added a single to her sixth inning home run while Shay Cushenbery and Meagan Bellar also added base hits.

Ailey struck out 10 and walked one.

In Game 2, Ailey hit her second home run of the day but it wasn't enough in a 12-10 loss.

Ailey had four runs batted in while Hallie Durkee added two hits. Bellar scored three runs for the Mavs.

Molly Myers, Cushenbery and Ailey worked in the circle for the Mavs.

The Mavs travel to Midwest City Saturday for a doubleheader against Rose State at 2 p.m.
