Mavs baseball splits with Redlands

The 3rd ranked NOC Mavs earned a split in a conference doubleheader with Redlands Saturday in Tonkawa. The Mavs won three of four over the Cougars in the conference opening series.

NOC (19-5) won the second game 10-0 after dropping the first game 9-2.

In Game 2, David Carr allowed just three hits over six innings of work in the Mavs 10-0 win over Redlands. Carr struck out four and walked two.

Barrett Rose had four hits and two runs batted in for the Mavs while Bryant Bailey, Sam Shank, Geovanni Blackshaw, and Hayden Priest had two hits each in a 14-hit attack.

The Mavs scored in five of the seven innings.

In Game 1, Redlands scored eight runs in the sixth to earn the 9-2 win.

Rose has the lone rbi for the Mavs.

Chase DeFillippo was the starter allowing three earned runs in 5.2 innings.
