TULSA -- Kate Clark of Ponca City finished 28th among individuals in the Class 6A Girls State Golf Tournament Wednesday and Thursday in Tulsa.

Clark shot a 91 for 18 holes on Wednesday and then came back to post an 83 Thursday for a tournament total 174 on rain drenched MeadowBrook Country Club. There were 75 golfers in the competition.

Jenks eased its way to the team title with a score of 614 beating out second place Edmond North, which had 668.

Lisa Herman of Jenks won the individual championship with 70-71--141. Second was Lucy Darr of Stillwater with a 76-75--151 and third was Syrah Javed of Norman North with a score of 76-76-152.

It was the second year Clark competed in the state tournament.
