Ronald G. Barnes 69, of Perry, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of his life will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at 6PM at The Branded Cowboy Church (Lucien Community Center), Lucien Oklahoma with Pastor Don Knotts officiating.

Ronald was born October 28, 1952 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Charles N. Barnes and Thelma (McCubbin) Barnes. Ronald attended high school in Stillwater, Oklahoma and graduated in 1970. Following his graduation he then joined the Army. Following the Army, he obtained his license as an electrician. He married Carol Givens on November 16, 1996 in Red Rock, Oklahoma. Ron retired from Red Rock Public Schools as the Director of Maintenance after 35 years. He and Carol attended the Branded Cowboy Church in Lucien. His greatest joy was to introduce anyone especially children to the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Carol of the home; children, Derrek Barnes and wife Vanessa of Clam Gulch, AK., Desiree Bickford and husband Kelly of Newkirk, OK., Lindsey Barnes and wife Ashley of Newkirk, OK., Chad Givens and wife Amber of Perry, OK; sister, Valarie Barnes Ford of Terrytown, LA; grandchildren, Brandon Hensley and wife Mary of Georgia, Hunter Lee Barnes, Peyton Barnes, and Violet Barnes of AK., Keenan Barnes and wife Amy of New Castle, OK., McKenna Barnes of Newkirk, OK., Lexi Lessert, of Newkirk, OK., Eric Givens and Fiance’ Jayden Jones of Tryon, OK., and Cadence Givens of Stillwater, OK; two great-grandchildren; other nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Kenny Howerton.
