James W. “Jim” Beck, 74, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Kildare, OK was called to his eternal resting place on March 20, 2023 at his home. He entered this world on February 3, 1949, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, born to Francis and Virginia Beck. Jim received his early education in Uncas, OK and graduate from Po-High in 1967 and he received his associate degree from Northern Oklahoma College in 1969. Jim served in the Army National Guard from 1970-1976. He worked in the meat market for Ponca City Discount Foods for 39 years.

Jim met the love of his life Jean Ann Collyar, and they were Married July 19, 1968, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. They made their home in Newkirk had two daughters, Vicki and Amanda. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Jim enjoyed mowing his yard and he was an avid fisherman. In his early years, he enjoyed coaching his daughters in softball and grandsons in baseball.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Beck, as well as his in laws; Melvin and Beverly Collyar.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Jean Ann Beck; two daughters: Vicki Beck and Amanda North; grandchildren: Dylan North and fiancé Mattie Lemmons and Kaleb North; bonus grandchildren: Kenzie Keeler and Kade North. He also leaves behind his sister in laws, Vicki S. Beck, Jackie Huster, Janet Lockwood and husband David and brother in law, Dean Collyar and wife Cindy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, 10 a.m. at the Rise Up Church in Newkirk with Pastor Dennis Wildman officiating. Inurnment will follow at Newkirk City Cemetery. Honorary Bearers are Calla Lockwood, Drew Lockwood, Zachary Beck, and Jake Beck. Services are in care of Miller-Stahl Funeral Home of Newkirk, OK.
