Gareld “Gary” Reed, resident of Ponca City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 27, 2020. He was 65 years old. Gary was born on May, 6, 1955 in Abilene, KS, to parents Shirley and Robert Reed Sr. He grew up in Salina, KS with brothers and sister, Robert Reed Jr., (twin) Terald “Terry” Reed, Pamela Reed, and Ralph Reed. He often visited home to see family and friends.

Gary is survived by his daughters, Amber Reed and partner David Sims, Holly Reed, Brenna Scott and partner Jason Gunnells, Brenda and James “Beeper” Pollak, Brandy Duarte, Bonnie Morton, Billey and Steven Sims, father, Robert Reed Sr., brothers, Terry Reed Sr. and Robert Reed Jr., sister, Pamela Reed, grandchildren: Aiden, Spencer, Halle, Charles “Chucky”, Knoxsah “Knox”, Abygale “Abby”, Jaqulyn, Kylie, Mika, Vashti, Isabel, Christopher “Chris”, Elizabeth “Boo”, great-grandson, Isaac, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Reed, brother, Ralph Reed, and wife, Brenda Reed.

Gary was known for always lending a hand, his kindness, compassion for others, his love for talking and visiting, and his very big heart.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, working on his house, having a beer with friends, and spending time with friends and family. He will always be remembered for his contagious grin and silent chuckles. There are not enough words to express how much Gary, or Dad, meant to all who knew him.

Per request, Gary will not have a funeral service, but the family is planning a celebration of life for a future date when friends and family can attend safely.

Gary will be laid to rest at Ralston Cemetery, Ralston, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson and Sons Funeral Home, Lafayette, TN.
