The Kay County Republican Party will be holding their November meeting a week early this month due to the Thanksgiving Holiday falling on our regular meeting date. The meeting will be held Thursday, November 19th at 7:00PM, in the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, on the corner of E. Liberty and Fourth Street (1104 N. Fourth Street).

Keynote Speaker “David Zimmerman” will feature Trump exit results from Florida and Texas that show some surprising results. U.S. House and Senate outcomes, Governorships and state legislatures captured, plus two races that show new voter initiatives of the Republican Party will be investigated. Oklahoma State Senator Bill Coleman (R) District 10 and Oklahoma State Representative Ken Luttrell (R) House District 37 will also be commenting about the recent election & updates coming from the Oklahoma State Capital. Terry Lee Thompson, Kay County Chapter Coordinator for the Kay Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Association, will also comment on updates from the OK2A.

Keynote speaker David Zimmerman is currently the State Committeeman representing Kay GOP at OKGOP state committee meetings. Besides being a former businessman here in Ponca City, he has served as Ponca City Tourism Authority Chairman, Executive officer in the North Central Oklahoma Historic Association, taught for Kansas State University and University of Oklahoma, and is current President for First Lutheran Church and School.

Other local and state officers who are available to attend the meeting will have an opportunity to provide updates about community, county, state legislative decisions, bills, etc. Sheriff Steve Kelley, District Attorney Brian Hermanson, County Assessor Susan Keen, County Treasurer Christy Kennedy, County Clerk Tammy Reese, County Court Clerk Marilee Thornton, County Commissioners Dist. 1 Jack Godberson, Dist. 2 Jason Shanks, Dist. 3 John Wilson.

There will not be a December meeting due to the busy Holidays. Plan on attending the next Kay County Republican Party meeting scheduled for January 28, 2021! The KCRP Committee members thank you for your continued support in our community and pray that you and your loved ones stay healthy and safe over the Holidays.
