Amy Muegge, music teacher at Lincoln Elementary, was honored tonight by the Oklahoma State Department of Education as this year’s music educator recipient of the Oklahoma Education Awards for Arts Excellence. The ceremony was held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Guthrie.

She was nominated by a colleague, and the application highlighted her passion for enriching the lives of students through art.

The award was a collaboration with the Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education (OAAE), the Oklahoma Masonic Fraternity, and the Oklahoma Arts Council.
