There are many good vocalists in the Ponca City area. Many of these are attractive individuals who can also entertain. It is rare to find an entertainer that has all of these qualities that, in addition, can reach out and touch the audience with heart-felt emotion. Tim Muniz, who grew up in Ponca City, is one such performer. Tim will be back on stage, by popular demand, at the Poncan Theatre Oct. 29 at 7:30 pm in the “Rewind” Show.

Tim Muniz has been performing live for over 40 years. The last 20 years he has been involved in production, direction, and instruction with the end goal being the education on the state of the music industry. Tim was the producer of Music Matters, a documentary on the state of the music industry in 2014. He has also been involved with many think tanks to try to create a fair and equitable music industry for the content creators. He is active in counting young artists for the means of education and creation. He has been a featured speaker in several schools including Worcester Poly Tech in Massachusetts. Tim is currently working alongside peers to create curriculum for several schools in the United States and Mexico. Tim is the CEO of CSC, that fosters independent business and nonprofits, and CSCI in Cleveland Oklahoma.

The “Rewind” variety show will feature old tunes. So, sit back, relax, and reminisce with old memories. Selections will range from country, pop, and music theatre, to dance numbers; Both group and solo will be featured.

Tickets can be bought at the door for 20 dollars for adults and 15 dollars for students from 5 to 17. Discounted tickets can be purchased on line at the PoncanTheatre.org at 15 dollars for adults and 10 dollars for students.

Proceeds will help the theatre with more renovations. It now has a new roof and new seats, but more updates are needed. Other profits will benefit student scholarships with the Young Artist Scholarship Fund.
