Martha was born in Martinsville, Virginia on August 1st, 1943, to Harvey and Elsie Beauchamp. She was a student at Wicomico Senior High School in Salisbury, Maryland where she graduated, and then moved on to attend Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. Martha lived in a few places during her long full life including Salisbury, Maryland for 31 years. She moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma in 1975 and Newkirk, Oklahoma in 1989 where she lived out her days. While in Salisbury Matha met her future husband Mr. Elmer E. Hasselbring whom she married on September 14, 1961. Martha and Elmer were loving foster parents for over 30 years.
