Northern Oklahoma College nursing faculty member Dr. Marie Head was honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty at the NOC 2024 Nurses’ Pinning Ceremony Friday, May 3 at NOC Tonkawa.

Dado’s Pizza in Oklahoma City, owned by Po-Hi alumnus Chris Kana, was recently recognized by the readers of the Oklahoman for Best Pizza in the Oklahoma City metro area. Kana graduated from Ponca City High School in 1999.

Pioneer Technology Center and AARP are holding a “Smart Driving course at 6 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday May 28th and Wednesday May 29th, 2024; at the Pioneer Tech Center in the Seminar Center, at 2101 North Ash Street; Ponca City, OK. Enter at North Entrance. The course is open to the public. Attendance for both evenings is required to receive a completion certificate.

The public is invited to attend Kaw City’s Annual Reunion on Sunday, May 26 from 11am-5pm. The museum, located at 910 Washunga Drive in Kaw City, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its displays include a vast selection of vintage artifacts, maps, books, furniture, name bricks and photographs, many dating back to the early 1800s. You don’t have to be from Kaw City to appreciate the relics that paint a picture of what life was like in Oklahoma’s pioneer days. Take full advantage of this historical treasure that sits in your own back yard. Admission is free.
