All around the world on Saturday, May 4, people were glued to their televisions in extreme anticipation for what many consider the most important race of the year. The Kentucky Derby is the longest continually held sporting event in America, celebrating 150 years of racing this year, and is known as one of the most prestigious horse races in the world.

Two weeks ago, we wrapped up hearing bills from the opposite chamber. In total, both chambers approved 491 bills, with the House approving 230 Senate measures and the Senate passing 261 House bills.

Sean Taglialatela has been named the new Po-Hi Principal, pending approval from the Ponca City Board of Education. He will replace Shane Dent, who will be leaving the district at the end of the school year.
