It is truly amazing how far reaching our ministry goes as a church family. We have people attending from Newkirk, Coon Creek (Uncas), Shidler, Charlie Creek, Apperson, Pawhuska, Webb City and occasionally Fairfax. I guess I should mention Kildare since that is where the Pastor and his wife calls home. Burbank has become our second home away from home. There are many friendships being developed because of ministry to families in the Burbank area. I believe that the Lord has blessed each family with an opportunity to suggest to their friends to come and worship with them. I recently was reading the 107th Psalms. In this short Psalm there are five occurrences of this verse, “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” Christians should be in the praise mode. Once you have experienced true worship and praise, why not pass it on to those that are in your sphere of influence. Think about this for a moment. What better way to begin a week than to spend a little time giving thanks to the awesome Creator who watches over you. God is with you all the time. In a world where people can have their whole life changed in an instant. There appears to be so much violence, hate, and lack of respect for other people’s property. People need to find a setting where worldly issues are not discussed. Remember the song, “What the world needs now is love, sweet love.” You can discover the peace that passes all understand in a place of worship that fosters the same kind of unconditional love that you receive from God. Hope you find a place to worship with folks that love the Lord and you.
