Hubert Carroll Rodman, known as Carroll, 90, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, was called to his eternal resting place on February 14, 2024. He entered this world on May 4, 1933, in Tryon, Oklahoma, born to Hubert Clyde and Fern (Gilkison) Rodman.

Upon graduating high school, Carroll joined the United States Army in 1953 and served in the Korean War. He was discharged in 1955 at Fort Carson, CO, obtaining the rank of Sergeant.

He was the manager of the Ponca City, Stillwater, and Bartlesville Country Clubs and was a member of the Country Club Manager’s Association for the Oklahoma- Kansas Chapter serving as their President from 19761977.

In Carroll’s retirement years, he spent time going to flea markets, auctions, and estate sales where he enjoyed the social time and was always up for making a good deal!

Those left behind to cherish Carroll’s memory are his daughters: Terry and husband Gary Thurman, Carolyn and husband Brad Brakhage, Charlotte and husband David Delahay, and Brenda Allen. Two sisters: Maxine Conners and Pauline Martin. As well as seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Fern Rodman; maternal grandparents Effie and Luther Gilkison; and one brother Bill Rodman.

Private family services have been scheduled, arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741. Online condolences may be made at www.gracememorialchapel.net.
