Donna L. Brown, originally from Ponca City, Oklahoma, died April 6, 2024 at Lyndale Memory Care in Abilene, Texas.

She was born December 3,1927 in Sedan, Kansas to Jim Jordan and Mildred Van Horn Jordan. She was one of fourteen children. She graduated from Arkansas City High School in Arkansas City, Kansas.

She married Walter Max Brown at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey on April 16,1948. She had two sons, William James Brown and Phillip Joe Brown. She was a housewife and worked for several years at the preschool of First Baptist Church, Ponca City. She was an active member of Sunset Baptist Church in Ponca City.

Upon the death of her husband in 2014, she moved to Abilene, Texas where she resided at Wesley Court Senior Living Center. She enjoyed her years there and made many wonderful friends. She was a member of Wylie Baptist Church in Abilene.

She was preceded in death by son Jimmy and her husband Max.

She is survived by her son Phil Brown and wife Debby of Abilene, grandchildren Jeff Brown and wife Ami of Knoxville, Tennessee, Natalie Timmerman and husband Keri of Kingsland, Texas and 7 great grandchildren: Kiran, Ellery, Olivia and Hallie Brown and Addi, Doak and Brock Timmerman.

The family wishes to thank Allen Schultz, M.D. for his care and counsel and the wonderful people at Wesley Court and Lyndale Memory Center for their care and friendship.

A memorial service will be planned, and final internment will be in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
