On August 5th 2023 Desiree’ Reece joined our father in heaven after she lost her battle with a very rare, aggressive form of NeuroEndocrine cancer at the age of 40. Services will held on August 12th at 10:00am First Baptist Church of Ponca City.

She was born February 10th 1983 to Steve Roehl and Cynthia Battles (Neumayer) at Blackwell Regional Hospital. Desiree’ graduated from Blackwell High School in 2001. She went on to graduate from Northern Oklahoma College in May 2017, with a degree in nursing. She was a Registered Nurse on the Med surge floor for Alliance Health of Ponca City. Nursing and caring for others was her passion. She touched many lives during her 6 years tenure.

Desiree’ loved spending time with her family, playing games, camping, swimming, listening to music, and snuggling with babies. She was a faithful woman that believed in the grace and glory of Jesus Christ. A devoted wife, mother, aunt and the best big sister in the world.

Desiree’ married Jeremiah Reece on October 24th , 2008 and joined the Reece family of Steve, wife Crystal, sister in law Stefanie, husband Jeff Soucek, a niece and nephew of Ponca City.

She is survived by her husband Jeremiah, daughter Carly, and son Isaiah; Father Steve Roehl of Newkirk with Cindy Schickram; Mother Cynthia Neumayer (Robert) of Deer Creek; Sister Shannon Roehl with Alton Horne of Ponca City, Stepsister Caroline Hadley (Mitch) of Ponca City and 5 nieces & nephews; Grandmother Carol (Hartness) Hill of Blackwell.

She was preceded in death by Grandparents Robert Roehl, Ben Hill, Leroy and Edna (Miller) Battles.

Desiree’ wanted everyone to know how humbled and grateful she was by the outpouring of support and kindness from friends and family during her battle these last couple of months.
