TWO “SIDEWALK Astronomy” events were held over the weekend on Friday, July 21 at the RecPlex and Saturday, July 22 at the Lake Ponca Campgrounds. The club holds these events to allow the public the opportunity to view objects through their telescopes. Pictured is one such telescope observing the moon from the Lake Ponca Campgrounds. The accompanying photo of the moon was taken using the telescope and a cell phone camera.
