Special dates have been scheduled for elementary students attending Ponca City Public Schools.

Garfield Elementary will host Meet the Teacher Night on Aug. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. This come-and-go event will be held outside at Garfield Park.

Liberty Elementary will have Meet the Teacher Night outdoors at the school on Aug. 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Other details will be posted on their Facebook page and website.

In lieu of a Meet the Teacher event, Lincoln Elementary teachers will call families of students to introduce themselves.

Face coverings will be distributed on Aug. 17 and 18 from 9 to 11 a.m. Lincoln staff will be handing out the face coverings to students curbside in the drivethru circle on the east side of the building.

Roosevelt Elementary will host Meet the Teacher Nigh on Aug. 17 from 4:30 go 6:30 p.m. This event will be held at the Roosevelt blacktop. Please wear your face coverings.

Trout Elementary will have Meet the Teacher Night on Aug. 17 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. outside in the front of the school.

Union teachers will also call families of students to welcome them and will not hold a Meet the Teacher event.

Classroom tour videos will be on Union’s Facebook page on the afternoon of Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Washington Elementary pre-kindergarten students can attend a Meet Your Teacher Night on Aug. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. This is a come-and-go event outside. Only one family member is asked to accompany the student. Please bring your child’s backpack that evening so it can be tagged with the teacher’s name.

Teachers will call parents between Aug. 12-14 to introduce themselves.

Woodlands Elementary will have a Meet the Teacher event for kindergarten students only on Aug. 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. This will be held outside under the front awning.

All individual school sites will have specific information on their Facebook and website pages.

The first day of school is Aug. 19.
