For the past five years, the Ponca City Public School district has purchased five new books for every PreK through third grade student in the district. The goal of this literacy initiative entitled “Got Books” is to build students’ personal home libraries and to encourage reading over the summer months. Students received their book bundles last week. Students from Trout Elementary are pictured with their books.
