Oklahoma ABLE Commission has extended their plan to allow alcohol deliveries through May 15. The plan provides breweries, liquor stores and grocery stores the ability to do emergency alcohol deliveries as long as they are the one doing the drop-off.

This extension goes past this Friday, when Oklahoma businesses, including restaurant dining rooms, will be allowed to reopen. Restaurant bars will open later.

For the Oklahoma Beer Alliance, they say this is especially important for restaurants and stores that may not be ready to open to the public yet. They say it also helps offset the public’s fears of going out during this pandemic.

It is important to note third party delivery services like, Postmates and Door Dash can’t make alcohol deliveries, only an employee from the business where the order was placed can do that.
