Note: Laura was a lover of the art and Ponca City History.

When she married John Streich, she heard the lady that was livening in the house on 14th street that was known as E.W. Marlands Gate House, was thinking about selling the house, she knew that was the house she wanted. With her job at the Pioneer Woman Museum, she was very happy working at the museum and collecting history on items people would donate to the museum.
