Ahsoka episodes 3 review

Body
With its third episode out now, it seems “Ahsoka” seems to wisely be taking time to give us plenty of character development, while simultaneously moving along with its plot. That might seem like a “duh” sort of comment, but after “Secret Invasion”, I kind of appreciate any sort of positive elements.

Movie review: Overstuffed screenplay blurs message of ‘The Good Mother’

Body
The title of Miles Joris-Peyrafitte’s “The Good Mother” is initially a bit ironic. Marissa (Hilary Swank) is a hard-boozing mom who has hardened herself against the reality of her grown sons’ lives. Michael is an opioid addict and a criminal, dabbling in drug trafficking, while her other son, Toby (Jack Reynor) exists on the other side of the law and order line — he’s a cop. It’s Toby who shows up at work, interrupting an editorial meeting at the Times Union newspaper, where Marissa is an editor, to inform her that Michael has been murdered, shot in what may have been a drug deal gone wrong. Their acceptance of his death indicates that they have long grieved for their son and brother.

‘Gran Turismo’ review: Dramatization of sim racer-turned-driver told with flare

Body
MARK MESZOROS The News-Herald, Willoughby, Ohio In the early laps of “Gran Turismo,” you worry the film will be little more than a high-octane commercial for the long-running and much-beloved racingsimulation video game franchise for Sony’s PlayStation platforms.
