DALTON, Ga. -- Ponca City’s Sydney Hermann continues to pile up honors during her golf career at Dalton State College.

Hermann recently was named Player of the Year in the Southern States Athletic Conference, of which Dalton State is a member.

Dalton State is ranked No. 3 in the final NAIA women’s golf poll and recently won the SSAC women’s golf championship. Oklahoma City University is No. 1 and Keiser University of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is No.2.

Hermann is a sophomore at Dalton State. She won the Class 6A individual state championship when she played at Ponca City High School.

Dalton State is expected to make the field for the NAIA National Championship Tournament which is scheduled May 24-27 at Lincoln Park West in Oklahoma City.
