The Raiders scored one goal in the first half and two in the second half to win 3-0.

Rose State out shot NOC 14-5 on Sunday.

“It has been a tough stretch on the road,” said coach Michael DuRoy. “The girls have played well for the most part, but they are ready to play at home. I think most people know that our number one goalkeeper has been out for the entire year. It has been a struggle at that position all year.”

NOC had a one goal lead on three occa sions but couldn’t hold on tying Rose State 3-3.

Damorney Hutchinson, the nation’s leading goal scorer at 24, scored two goals while Assanie Brown scored what could have been the game winner before Rose State tied the game late at 3-3. Jaron Frye and Marcovich Brown had assists for the Mavs.

“Today’s effort wasn’t good enough,” said coach Michael DuRoy. “We started really well, and should have had an easy win. To the boys credit they score a lot of early goals. The only problem is we relax after scoring them. That has to change. I thought we were terrible in the back today. Our outside backs played well going forward for the most part, and both played the entire game, which is hard to do, but our centerbacks struggled today. We were unorganized and soft. We had twenty-two shots, twelve corners, and three goals. You have to win on days like that. It was really disappointing not to get it done today.”
