Mavs baseball splits two games at Oklahoma Christian

EDMOND, Oklahoma--The 2nd ranked Mavs, playing their third consecutive doubleheader, split games with Oklahoma Christian JV Tuesday in Edmond.

The Mavs (14-4) won Game 1 in extra innings 14-10 and then dropped the nightcap 5-1.

In Game 1, the Mavs scored four runs in the 8th inning earning a 14-10 win.

Geovanni Blackshaw led a 16 hit attack with four hits including a double. Blackshaw also scored three runs.

Barrett Rose homered for NOC driving in four runs on the day. Bryant Bai ley added three hits while Holden Bartosovsky added two for NOC.

Brysen Williams was the winning pitcher from the NOC bullpen allowing one run over two innings.

In Game 2, the Mavs lost 5-1 scoring their lone run in the second inning on a Levi Hauter sacrifice fly scoring Gatlin Goodson who doubled.

Gabriel Subirats was the losing pitcher, Clayton Solomon tossed 4.2 innings of hitless relief striking out six.
