The Ponca City Lady Cats dropped an extra inning game Tuesday night, losing to Enid 7-5 at the West Middle School field.

Enid scored two runs in the ninth inning and held off the Lady Cats in the bottom of the frame. Enid scored four times in the first and one in the fourth inning, while Ponca City scored twice in the second, once in the fourth and twice in the fifth.

Libby Clark was the Lady Cat pitcher. She allowed six hits and four earned runs, while striking out seven and walking one.

Ponca City had 10 hits. Libby Clark, Taylin Fry and Alex Zimmerschied each had two hits while Margaret Blackstar, Taylor McMartin, Tori Freeman and Haley Swinford each had one. Fry, Swinford, Freeman, Zimmerschied and Margaret Blackstar each had a run batted in. Zimmerschied hit a triple.

Monday, Ponca City traveled to Owasso where they dropped a 10-1 decision.

Libby Clark pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 12 hits and three earned runs. She struck out five and walked one.

Ponca City scored its run in the fourth while Owasso scored one in the third, four in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the sixth.

The Lady Cats had four hits with Savannah Clark, Madelyn Blackstar, Margaret Blackstar and Tori Freeman getting one each. Freeman had the team’s only RBI, while Margaret Blackstar hit a double.

The Lady Cats were scheduled to play Sapulpa in Ponca City on Thursday.
