The Woodland Cougars extended their record to 11-1 with their second-round victory over Commerce. The Cougars jumped out to a lead early and never relinquished it. Commerce finished the season 5-5 after having placed third in District A-5.

The Cougars are scheduled to travel to Gore on Friday for a third-round game.

PAWNEE 66, QUAPAW 28

Pawnee routed Quapaw to continue its quest for the Class A state championship. The Bears have been ranked in the Top 5 most of the season. In picking up the victory, the Bears scored on every offensive possession they had. The first came in the first 18 seconds. Barrett Stevenson took the handoff on the opening play and ran 82 yards for a touchdown. The rout was on.

Quarterback Blake Skidgel generated only 99 yards total offense, low for him. Skidgel did score four of the Pawnee touchdowns. But Stevenson and Trevor Mitchell combined for 250 more rushing yards and four additional touchdowns.

To show how complete the devastation was, Quapaw was behind three touchdowns before it had run its third offensive play.

Pawnee is now 8-1 on the year and has won eight consecutive games. The Bears will host Colcord next Friday.

MORRISON 30, OKLAHOMA

UNION 7

The Morrison Wildcats put together an impressive road win over the Oklahoma Union Cougars. Morrison led from the beginning and controlled the tempo of the game.

With the victory, Morrison earned a third-round game at Wewoka.
