It is a unique and special time now because Christians, Jews and Muslims all are engaged in major holidays of religious contemplation and renewal. Christians with Holy Week and Easter, Jews with Passover, and Muslims with Ramadan.

Social Security Rules for Federal Government Employees I’ve commented before how surprised I am that a high percentage of emails I get come from the relatively small group of people in this country who don’t even pay into Social Security. Most of those questions come from retired or soonto- be retired educators in those states where teachers have a separate retirement system other than Social Security.

We are privileged to live in a time where I can monitor his blood glucose 24/7 via a cellphone app, and keep track of active insulin in his system via another cellphone app.

Dear Annie: I have been going to a particular church religiously for over 30 years. During the pandemic, I realized that my relationship with God isn’t defined by my church attendance, and I found a really great practice of getting to know a God of my understanding through readings, prayer, meditation and attending 12-step meetings to address my overeating and having grown up in an alcoholic home. I feel my relationship with God is more intimate than ever.
