Donald “Don” Hicks passed away on August 6, 2022 at the age of 77, at home in Ponca City, Oklahoma. His battle with cancer showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Don came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Eddie was born October 20, 1931, at the Hembree Homestead, and died at home Wednesday, August 3, 2022, just feet from where he had been born. He was the grandson of a pioneer who successfully made the Cherokee Strip Land Run in 1893.

Dorothy Jannell (Jan) Sensintaffar, 75, of Broken Arrow, OK, went to be with our lord and savior on July 29, 2022. Jan was born October 21, 1946, in Ponca City, Ok to Ray and Ruby (Fancher) Madderra.

Robert Dean Watson was born August 14, 1937 in Ponca City, OK the son of Robert and Helen (Rice) Watson. He completed this life on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Oklahoma City at the age of 84.

James (Jimmy) Bird, 77, formerly of Ponca city, passed away unexpectedly in Cottonwood, AZ, Monday, July 18th. As per his wishes he was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at Sunset Lake. December 6, 1933 July 25, 2022 Norman Earl Cunningham (88) passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at The Alliance Hospital in Ponca City, OK. He was born December 6, 1933 at Kingman, KS, the third of four sons, to parents Floyd Earl and Lela Opal Cunningham of Turon, KS. He graduated from Turon High School in 1951, where he participated in all sports, but excelled at and enjoyed tennis.

Terry Forcum of Wichita, KS passed away July 26th, 2022, at the age of 80. Terry was born in Downey, CA to Harold and Vera Forcum who preceded him in death.

Ponca City — Charles Emery Powers, 73, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Chuck, as all knew him by, was born in Rochester, Indiana on December 30, 1948, to Charles O. and Maxine (Smyth) Powers.
